Zone Swimming Championships

Southern Illawarra Zone Swimming Championships will be held on Monday 24th Feb, 2025.

Each school is permitted to send 3 students per event, with the inclusion of a 4th swimmer for the 50m Freestyle event only.

Cost is $5 paid to your school.

Top 3 students per event will progress through to the next level. This will include students who have nominated official times and are unable to compete at the event as they are attending representative sport at a higher level on the day.

The Championships will be guided by the CHS Handbook – Section 4.21 (https://app.education.nsw.gov.au/sport/AppPage/Page/963)

The carnival is not affiliated with Swimming NSW / NSWASA and as such the only records to be recognised at this carnival are those of the Illawarra Zone.

All events are TIMED FINALS.

Nominations for 400m – If you a seeking nomination for further participation in these events at either Regional level you will need to submit authenticated times (NSW Swimming) at the Zone Carnival. Times must be recorded within the last 6 months.

Nominations for  800m Freestyle and 400IM – If you a seeking nomination for further participation in these events at either State level you will need to submit authenticated times (NSW Swimming) at the Zone or Regional Carnival. Times must be recorded within the last 6 months.
